Thursday 30 April 2026 A great night of football! In our first ever outing in our new mini bus we enjoyed a successful night of football winning our first two games of the West End School's Trust (WEST) football league.

Thursday 30 April 2026 NUFC Transition Event for Year 6 parents/carers The West End Children's Community in conjunction with Newcastle United Foundation have organised a special event for parents/carers of year 6 children focusing on transition from year 6 to year 7.The event takes place on Monday 29 June at NUcastle (Diane Street, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, NE4 6BQ).There are two sessions, 4-5pm or 5-6pm. There will also be free activities for your child to join in whilst you browse.

Saturday 15 November 2025 Year 2 visit Baltic and the Quayside On Thursday 13th November, our Year 2 children enjoyed an inspiring visit to the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead. The Baltic is one of the North East's most iconic galleries, housed in a former flour mill on the banks of the River Tyne. It is known for its exciting exhibitions, creative spaces and stunning views over the city.

Tuesday 25 March 2025 Important update on school meals As a school, we were disappointed to learn that paid-for school meals will be increasing from £2.20 per day to £3.00 per day (for children in Reception-Year 6) and from £2.10 per day to £3.00 per day (for children in Nursery) from 1 April 2025.Whilst we recognise that everything will increase in cost from time to time, we feel a daily jump of 80p/90p per day is completely unreasonable. For example, if you have three school-aged children in your family this is an increase of £12 per week.We don't think that it is fair that hard working families who are already battling with the cost of living hikes should have to deal with a such a significant increase for school meals.We've been working hard behind the scenes to come up with a solution and can confirm that Lemington Riverside will be funding the increase from 1 April 2025, up until the end of the summer term (17 July 2025) - this will mean that prices for school meals will remain at the
