A magical visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus...
The halls of Lemington Riverside Primary School were filled with extra magic, laughter, and jingle bells yesterday morning as we welcomed two very special VIPs.
After spotting the Lemington Glassworks chimney, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made a safe landing and spent the morning visiting our children. It was a truly memorable day for the whole school community.
A Gift for Everyone
Santa and Mrs. Claus made sure to visit every single class in the school. They took the time to speak to the children, listen to their Christmas wishes, and spread festive cheer.
In a wonderful act of kindness, Santa brought a gift for everybody in the school to take home. To say thank you, the children raised the roof singing their favourite Christmas songs with our special guests.

Santa is a Geordie!
While the gifts and songs were wonderful, the biggest surprise of the day came when Santa revealed a secret about his favourite football team.
We were shocked (and delighted!) to find out that Santa is a huge Newcastle United supporter! To prove his loyalty to the Toon, he even pulled up his red trouser legs to show off a pair of black and white socks underneath. It seems even at the North Pole, they are cheering on the Magpies!

Back to the North Pole
After a busy morning of singing, gift-giving, and talking football, Mr. and Mrs. Claus said their goodbyes. They have now headed back over the North Sea to the North Pole to begin a very busy couple of weeks preparing the sleigh for Christmas Eve.
Thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus for making this such a magical day for Lemington Riverside!
