Theatre Royal

As proud members of the West End School's Trust we are delighted to work in partnership with Newcastle Theatre Royal - a stunning cultural venue in the heart of our city.

As part of our partnership work, children regularly visit the theatre and take part in drama-related activities linked to performances at Theatre Royal.

In 2024 our Year 4 children engaged with a theatre practitioner on a project linked to the performance of 'The Boy at the Back of the Class' - all of the children visited the theatre to watch the performance live (pictured below).

In 2025 our Year 6 children engaged with a similar project linked to the 'Pig Heart Boy' production.

For the past three years all of our children from Years 1-6 have visited the Theatre Royal at Christmas time to enjoy the fabulous pantomime performance. 

In the 2025/2026 academic year we are excited to developed a new partnership between Lemington Riverside and the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).
