We are pleased to be taking part in the Newcastle United FC Reading Challenge during Spring Term 1 2026.

The challenge runs from Monday 12 January to Friday 13 January and encourages children to read at home each day. When a child reads at home and has their reading record signed, they will earn a special ‘NUFC Reading Challenge – Spring 2026’ green point on Track It Lights. Children can earn one point per day, including Saturdays and Sundays during the challenge period.

Please note that points should not be added before the challenge begins on Monday 12 January.

Prize

The child who reads the most will win an incredible experience – they will be invited to the Newcastle United First Team ground to meet first team players and have their favourite books signed. They will get to ask questions in the media suite too!

If more than one child reads every day during the challenge, a prize draw will take place in assembly to determine the winner of the St James’ Park visit.
