Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

What’s Happening...
This term, we are delighted to be working in partnership with the Newcastle Rugby Foundation to enhance our PE provision and enrichment opportunities across school.
For Years 3 and 4, we will be offering a Rugby After-School Club, delivered in collaboration with the Foundation. The club will run for three weeks on Thursdays (5th, 12th and 19th March 2026) from 3:30–4:30pm. Letters will be sent home shortly, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with the club capped at 16 pupils.
For Years 5 and 6, alongside their usual PE lessons, we are introducing the Maddy’s Mark body confidence programme for girls over a three-week period. The programme focuses on developing positive body image and challenging stereotypes in sport.
