Lemington Riverside wins award!
We are delighted to share that Lemington Riverside Primary School has been awarded the Barclays Girls' Football in Schools Equal Access School 2025 award in recognition of our strong commitment to developing opportunities for both boys’ and girls’ football across the school.
This national award celebrates schools that ensure all pupils have equal access to football through curriculum lessons, extra-curricular clubs, competitive fixtures and leadership opportunities. At Lemington Riverside, we are incredibly proud to provide an inclusive sporting environment where every child is encouraged to participate, build confidence and enjoy being active, regardless of experience or background.
We have been particularly pleased to see the continued growth of girls’ football, with increasing participation, enthusiasm and teamwork on display in our school. These experiences not only develop sporting skills but also promote resilience, cooperation and a love of healthy lifestyles.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils and the ongoing support of families and the wider community. We look forward to continuing to grow football opportunities at Lemington Riverside and inspiring even more children to get involved in the years ahead.
Well done to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic success!
