Reasons to be here everyday!
ATTENDANCE STREAK:

At Lemington Riverside Primary School, we know that regular attendance and punctuality are key to helping children achieve their full potential. Every day in school provides valuable learning opportunities, strengthens friendships and builds positive routines that support long-term success.
To continue our work in promoting excellent attendance and reducing persistent absence, we are delighted to launch our new Attendance Streak Challenge.
How does it work?
Children who attend school every day and arrive on time throughout the full two-week challenge period will be entered into a prize draw.
At the end of the challenge, 12 winners will be selected at random to take part in a special reward experience, which includes:
- A visit to Waterstones to choose a brand-new book.
- A McDonald’s lunch.
- Travel together on the school minibus for the trip.
Why are we introducing this challenge?
The Attendance Streak Challenge is designed to celebrate the fantastic commitment shown by children who attend school consistently and punctually. It also encourages positive habits and reinforces the importance of being in school every day, ready to learn.
Excellent attendance not only supports academic progress but also helps children develop confidence, resilience and strong relationships with their peers and teachers.
We hope that as many pupils as possible will take part and enjoy the challenge, while recognising that every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow and succeed.
Further information, including the dates of each Attendance Streak Challenge, will be shared with families ahead of each two-week period.
FEAST FRIDAY:

At Lemington Riverside Primary School, we are committed to promoting excellent attendance and punctuality, ensuring every child has the opportunity to make the most of their learning.
As part of our attendance strategy, we run Feast Friday to encourage children to be in school and on time every Friday.
Each week, every child who attends school and arrives on time on Friday is entered into a prize draw. One lucky winner is selected to enjoy a Domino’s Pizza lunch of their choice, shared with two friends in the school dining hall.
Fridays have historically been our lowest-attending day, and this initiative is one of the ways we celebrate positive attendance habits while reinforcing the importance of being in school every day.
We look forward to seeing as many children as possible taking part and ending each week on a high.
PUNCTUAL AND PROUD:

At Lemington Riverside Primary School, we know that arriving at school on time helps children settle quickly, start the day positively and make the most of every learning opportunity.
As part of our commitment to promoting excellent punctuality, we run Punctual and Proud throughout the school year.
Each term, we select a number of secret Punctual and Proud Days. These dates are not shared in advance with pupils or families.
Any child who arrives at school on time on one of these secret days is automatically entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher.
The initiative is designed to encourage consistent punctuality every day, rather than just on announced occasions, and to celebrate those children who are ready to learn from the very start of the school day.
Being on time every day really does make a difference, and every secret Punctual and Proud Day is another opportunity to be rewarded for developing this important habit.
