Remembrance Day
This week and next we are marking Remembrance Day here at Lemington Riverside. Children are learning more about why we remember at this time of year and the meaning behind the poppy. In class, children are also making their own poppies.
Tomorrow (Thursday 7 November) between 8:45-9:00am we will be selling a range of Remembrance Day related items on the playground for £1 per item. All money raised will go to the Royal British Legion charity. Items can be purchased with cash only - please try to have the correct change available.
As a school, we will all pause and mark the 2 minutes of silence on our playground at 11:00am on Monday 11 November to remember those who gave their all to make our country a safe and peaceful place to live.
