Welcome to Lemington Riverside Primary School!

A very warm welcome to Lemington Riverside – a school at the heart of its community, where every child is known, valued and supported to succeed.

We are incredibly proud to be a truly inclusive school. Our doors are open to every child in our community, and we are committed to meeting the needs of all learners, whatever their starting point. We believe that every child is unique, and it is our job to nurture their strengths, build their confidence and help them find their passion for learning.

Our school is a vibrant and caring place, overlooking the River Tyne. Within our historic building you will find bright, engaging classrooms, a strong sense of belonging and a team of staff who are dedicated to providing the very best for our children. Alongside this, our on-site Children and Families Hub strengthens the support we can offer, not just to pupils, but to families and the wider community.

At Lemington Riverside, learning goes far beyond the classroom. Our curriculum is ambitious, engaging and carefully designed to help children build knowledge and skills over time. Alongside this, our unique Lemington Riverside Experience ensures that every child benefits from a rich range of opportunities – from trips, visitors and cultural experiences to residential visits and extracurricular activities. We want our children to leave us not only with strong academic foundations, but also with memories, confidence and aspirations that will stay with them for life.

We place a strong emphasis on relationships and wellbeing. Our pastoral support is a real strength of the school, with a dedicated team and access to a wide range of professionals who work together to ensure every child feels safe, supported and ready to learn.
