NUFC Challenge: 'Work Hard'

We are delighted to announce our latest school challenge in partnership with Newcastle United Football Club.
This half term we are focusing on the value of 'working hard'.
We have two challenges:
CHALLENGE 1: Children will earn points in school when they are spotted by staff 'working hard' and going the extra mile. The three children with the 'Working Hard' points by the Christmas holidays will win a tour of St. James' Park Stadium!
CHALLENGE 2: Home reading challenge. Children who read at home every night make accelerated progress. Our challenge this term is - who can read at home the most this term up until the Christmas holidays? The child with the most home reads recorded in their reading record (a maximum of 1 recording per day) by the Christmas holidays will win an amazing prize - a ticket in an executive box (with free food/drinks) to watch Newcastle United versus Aston Villa on Boxing Day! If we have multiple children reading every day between now and Christmas (which we suspect we shall!) a name will be drawn out of a hat in front of the children on the final day of term to see who wins this incredible prize! Please note, the reading challenge begins from Monday 11 November.
Good luck everybody!
