Lemington Riverside Primary School

Consultation on admission arrangements for September 2028

Lemington Riverside Primary School’s Governing Body is inviting views on the school’s proposed admission arrangements for the 2028–2029 academic year.

No changes are proposed to the existing admission arrangements. Schools are required to consult on their admission arrangements at least once every seven years, even where no changes are proposed. We are carrying out this consultation to meet that requirement.

The proposed arrangements explain how applications for school places are considered and how places are allocated if there are more applications than places available. The proposed admission number for Reception remains 30.

The consultation runs from Thursday 15 October 2026 to Thursday 26 November 2026 inclusive.

We welcome comments from parents and carers, including those whose children may attend the school in future, local schools and Early Years settings, and other interested members of the community.

The full proposed admission arrangements are available alongside this notice. A paper copy can be requested from the school office.

Please send any comments to admin@lemingtonriverside.newcastle.sch.uk, marked “Admissions consultation – FAO Headteacher”, by the end of Thursday 26 November 2026. Written responses can also be handed to the school office, addressed to the Headteacher.

The Governing Body will consider all responses before formally agreeing the admission arrangements. The final arrangements will then be published on the school website.

This consultation concerns the school’s admission arrangements; it is not an application for a school place.
