Overview

The Governing Body of Lemington Riverside Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, organised and approachable Administrative Assistant to join our busy and bustling school office.

This is an important role within our school. The role will include a range of general administrative duties, including maintaining records and information, data input, answering telephone and face-to-face enquiries, dealing with correspondence and post, photocopying and filing, ordering stationery and other office supplies and supporting basic financial administration. Reception duties will also form an important part of the role.

The appointed Administrative Assistant will work as part of our school office team and will benefit from the support of the School Business Manager, Administrative and Finance Assistant and other colleagues across the school.

The successful candidate will:

  • be friendly, welcoming and professional when dealing with children, parents/carers, staff, visitors and other members of the public;
  • have good administrative, organisational, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills;
  • be able to maintain accurate records and input and retrieve information using computerised systems;
  • be organised and able to prioritise their workload effectively in a busy working environment;
  • have excellent attention to detail and take pride in completing work accurately;
  • communicate clearly and professionally, both face-to-face and over the telephone;
  • understand the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive information;
  • be able to work successfully as part of a team while also using their own initiative when appropriate;
  • be flexible, positive and willing to undertake a varied range of administrative tasks;
  • support the vision and ethos of Lemington Riverside Primary School; and
  • demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding, equality and the welfare of all children.
