Welcome to Lemington Riverside
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School, a proudly inclusive school at the heart of our community. We educate children from the age of 3 up to 11.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

As a school, we were disappointed to learn that paid-for school meals will be increasing from £2.20 per day to £3.00 per day (for school aged children) and from £2.10 per day to £3.00 per day (for children in Nursery) from 1 April 2025.
Whilst we recognise that everything will increase in cost from time to time, we feel a daily jump of 80p/90p per day is completely unreasonable. For example, if you have three school-aged children in your family this is an increase of £12 per week.
We don't think that it is fair that hard working families who are already battling with the cost of living hikes should have to deal with a such a significant increase for school meals.
We've been working hard behind the scenes to come up with a solution and can confirm that Lemington Riverside will be funding the increase from 1 April 2025, up until the end of the summer term (17 July 2025) - this will mean that prices for school meals will remain at the same cost for our families during this time.
We are are exploring further options of how we may be able to keep prices for school meals lower for our families over a longer period of time, but you'll appreciate this is going to take some more work. We will keep our families updated as soon as we have more news to share.
So in short, there will be no changes to our school meal costs from 1 April 2025.
We have also raised this matter with our MP Chi Onwurah and asked for her to raise this issue higher at Government level as it is an issue that will be no doubt impacting upon families far wider than in our community.
Thank you,

The children have been reading 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' and as you can see, the librarians did an amazing job at theming our visit just perfectly!
