Welcome to Lemington Riverside
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School, a proudly inclusive school at the heart of our community. We educate children from the age of 3 up to 11.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

What’s Happening...
We are delighted that our Nursery at Lemington Riverside is such a popular place to be with demand higher than ever for places.
To help us manage applications in the smoothest and most efficient way possible, our Governing Body have recently updated our Nursery admissions procedures.
Please note, if you have already applied for a place in our Nursery before 1 July 2025, this does not effect you, we have your applications on file and will ensure your application goes in to the correct cohort when allocating places - you don't need to do anything further!
If you have not yet applied, but would like your child to start in our Nursery class from September 2026 (or later years) please carefully read the information at this link >>> https://www.lemingtonriverside.newcastle.sch.uk/Apply-for-a-Nursery-place/
KEY DATES FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 NURSERY PLACES:
- Friday 8 January 2026, applications for places in our Nursery class open.
- Friday 13 March 2026, deadline for applications.
- Friday 20 March 2026, offer letters are sent out to families who have been offered a place.
- Friday 17th April 2026, deadline for accepting your child's place. If you do not accept, your child's place will be offered to another family if there is a waiting list.
This event celebrates the 25th birthday of the Centre for Life and the 10th anniversary of the West End School's Trust (WEST).
During the morning the children will take part in a range of hands on, practical activities and challenges linked to space and extreme weather.
There will also be a spectacular weather show taking place!
Be in on time for 9 this Friday so that you do not miss out when Life Goes West!
