Welcome to Lemington Riverside
Welcome to a primary school that dares to be different and celebrates its uniqueness…
We are Lemington Riverside Primary School – an inclusive, vibrant school at the heart of our community, overlooking the beautiful River Tyne. We welcome children from age 3 to 11 and are a one-form-entry school, meaning there is one class in each year group.
Our school is a magnificent Edwardian building, with spacious classrooms, break out spaces, libraries, ICT facilities, a sensory room and an exciting outdoor environment. We also have a community hub on site, providing additional activities, services and support to our children, families and the wider community.

Year 6 pupils at Lemington Riverside Primary School have been developing their journalistic writing skills with the support of former pupil and sports journalist Mark Carruthers.
After setting the class a newspaper writing challenge, Mark returned to judge the entries and was blown away by the high quality of work produced.
Two pupils were selected as overall winners and received fantastic Newcastle Unitedβthemed prizes.
A huge thank you to Mark for volunteering his time and inspiring our young writers!
