Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
At Lemington Riverside Primary School, our Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum is designed to support children’s personal development, well-being, and understanding of healthy relationships. Our aim is to provide age-appropriate education that helps pupils develop the knowledge, skills, and values they need to form respectful relationships, stay safe, and make informed choices as they grow.
Through engaging and inclusive lessons, we teach children about friendship, family, diversity, emotions, and staying safe online. As they progress, they learn about the changes they will experience as they grow, the importance of self-respect, and how to navigate relationships responsibly. Our curriculum follows statutory guidance from the Department for Education, ensuring that it is sensitive, inclusive, and supportive of all backgrounds and beliefs.
We work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that RSE reflects our school’s values and meets the needs of our pupils, preparing them for life in modern Britain with confidence and respect for others.
