Extra Curricular
At Lemington Riverside we want our children to develop passions and interests beyond the classroom.
We offer a range of extra-curricular activities both during the normal school day and after school.
Strong external partnerships:
As a member of the West End School's Trust (WEST) we work in partnership with the following high-profile organisations within our city over the academic year to offer extra curricular activities:
- Centre for Life: Each half term a different year group has the opportunity to take part in 'Science Club' at the Centre for Life in Newcastle. This is a hands-on after school club, in a unique setting offering something that we could not provide through our science curriculum in school.
- Newcastle Theatre Royal: Over the academic year, children have the opportunity to take part in a unique drama after school club at the Theatre Royal in Newcastle.
- Newcastle United Foundation: We have a close working relationship with Newcastle United Football Club and the club's community foundation. Throughout the academic year our children have many opportunities to engage with our cities world-famous football club in a variety of activities and events.
- Newcastle University: We work closely with our city's university in a variety of ways to raise aspirations and social mobility for our children.
